2017-2018 DAR / SAR Good Citizenship Awards

D.A.R. Good Citizenship Award

Grace Johnson is the 2017-2018 recipient of the D.A.R. Good Citizenship Award at ROWVA High School.  Selection of the award winner is based on the qualities of dependability, service, leadership and patriotism. This award is sponsored by the Spoon River Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

While a student at ROWVA, Grace has been involved in WYSE, National Honor Society, FCCLA and FCA.  She is the cheerleading captain, a Marching Band section leader, and she participates in track.  She is also the Social Media Intern for ROWVA.  She is the daughter of Karl and Cathy Johnson of Altona.  In the fall, she plans to attend a four-year college in the Midwest to study communications or English with the goal to eventually earn a law degree.

S.A.R. Good Citizenship Award

Bret Woodside is the 2017-2018 recipient of the S.A.R. Good Citizenship Award at ROWVA High School.  Selection of the award winner is based on the qualities of dependability, leadership, service and patriotism.

While a student at ROWVA, Bret has been involved in football, basketball and track all four years.  He has been a member of FFA and the UCA Mission Team each for two years.  He plans to go to college in the fall.  Bret is the son of Laura Danner of Oneida and Rory Woodside of Oneida.
